Singing like Tony! Toni! Toné!, “IT’S MY BLOG-A-VERSARY!!” YGOM officially turned ONE this week! #proudmama
2015 was pretty awesome! I can’t believe that over 1,400 people visited my site AND I had nearly 4,000 page views last year. I’d say that’s pretty cool for a girl who simply turned a habit into a hobby ;) Plus, I hosted two amazing wine events and secured wine sponsorships. If you were to ask me if I thought any of that was possible on January 5, 2015, I probably would have given you the Kanye shrug. #justsayin
That’s why the sky’s the limit for 2016! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for YGOM during year two. To celebrate YGOM’s first birthday, I opened a bottle of COHO Headwaters Napa Valley Red Wine. I received this wine as a gift at the YGOM Holiday Wine Down last month and couldn’t wait to open it!!
2010 Headwaters Napa Valley Red Wine
COHO Red Wine represents everything that I hope 2016 will be.
Bold. Refreshing. SUPER CHILL.
COHO Red Wine is a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon blend. This red is a beautiful and deep vampire red. It’s so dark that it almost appears black when held to the light. It has this sophisticated allure to it. The aromas are very bold and rich. I got hints of ripe blackberries.
Now, let me say that I couldn’t help but smile after having the first sip. I have to admit that I haven’t been drinking much wine since my holiday event. But COHO wine definitely helped me get my wine groove back! After that first sip, I just knew that 2016 was going to be alright!!
Although, COHO is a full-bodied red, it felt like air on my tongue. It’s very smooth. *que Sadé’s Smooth Operator* The tannins in this red are EVERYTHING! They’re very subtle, not potent at all…very bearable. It’s like they’re just sitting on your tongue chillin’ along for the ride to happiness. This is the perfect wine to sip and chill by the fireplace after a long day at work (or while watching Netflix with your boo). It will definitely take you to that perfect place of complete zen.
Overall Rating: 4 Corks
Buzzworthy: COHO Red Wine contains 14.6 percent alcohol. Most reds are 12-15 percent, so this COHO is pretty high ☺ This is not a wine to get tipsy off of, but to simply sip and savor. I really felt empowered and rejuvenated after a glass or two. 2016 is going to be an AH-MAZING year for YGOM! Just sip and see!!
